I am a very big fan of this AIR FM Gold channel. I have started listening to music way back in 1998 when my sister gifted me a tape cassette recorder. The very first set of cassettes I purchased was the "50 Golden Playback Years of Hindi Film Music" set of 5 cassettes. The first ever song I heard was "O Duniya Ke Rakhwale" from "Baiju Bawra" and ever since I have been such a fond lover of Old Hindi film music. I was in Chennai at the time. However there also was a AIR FM channel with freq. 105.0 MHz. Only on Tues, Thu and Sat at 4 pm hindi music used to come. I used to wait for the times. And till 2005 I purchased many old film cassettes. I continued in Chennai till 2005 and got transferred to Delhi in Dec 2005. On Jan 2006, I put on AIR FM Gold 106.4 MHz and first when I put it mostly new programs were coming. Accidentally on a fine day I got to hear film music. Ever since I am hearing to this channel. So it has been 6 yrs and 2 months now since I am associated with FM Gold. Also in my personal collection on the computer, I may be having some 3000+ Old Hindi Film Music. I am a very fond lover of especially sad and slow numbers.. Maybe that is a reason new Hindi film music mujhe bhate nahin hai.
I am also a fond lover of 2 programs which provide us a chance to listen to old music from 30s to 60s "Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya" and "Saanjh Dhale".
Also "Radio Antakshari" and "Radio Matinee" I do fondly await these programs
Now also as AIR FM Gold is a 24x7 channel, I like the programs "Door Koi Gaye" which again plays 40s film music, "Jhoom Jhoom Dhalti Raat" and " Raat Akeli Hai" which plays some sad songs.
In some discontinued programs I used to like "Sargam" which used to come Mon-Fri at 8 am in mornings and "Boojho To Jane" which used to come Saturdays 5 pm
